Volendam is a small seaside town located approx.15 miles north  of Amsterdam and is one of the area tourist attractions. During the  summer season, you can catch a boat ride over to the island of Marken.  The people of Volendam and Marken wear traditional Dutch dress for  the summer season. Ferry boats sail between Volendam and  Marken. There is still a fishing  fleet in Volendam.

  his photograph taken with thousands of people.  

On the way from Monnickendam to Volendam we came across this cheese and clog
 making establishment. They do demonstrations of both processes and there is
also a shop where cheese and clogs can be purchased. 

This windmill attracts the attention as you drive past.

They have all sizes for all feet.	There are many different patterns on the clogs.	Quite plain but still decorative.
